ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Danse Des Enfants has been serving Houston since 1994 in dance and gymnastics instruction. Our company provides classes on the campuses of fourteen pre-schools and elementary schools. Our instructors combined possess over thirty years of dancing and teaching experience. We strive to educate children in the basic ideas/techniques of dance/gymnastics in an environment where children have fun while learning.
We encourage the development of balance, rhythm, flexibility, musicality, spatial awareness, and dance vocabulary. We offer ballet, tap, creative movement, jazz/funk, hip-hop, salsa/merengue, tumbling gymnastics, and other dance styles. The students meet weekly to learn proper stretches, basic steps, new moves, and work on performance pieces. We carry our equipment with us and are able to hold class in open spaces such as empty classrooms, gymnasiums, and multipurpose rooms. The children have the opportunity to participate in an end of the year recital. For the recital, professional costumes are ordered and the children get to take part in a picture day, dress rehearsal and recital.
