Amanda Jett, Danse Des Enfants Owner/Director
Our newest member will introduce herself to the Dover Club.
Amanda Howard Jett began dancing at age five with Helen Marie’s School of Dance. That next year she appeared in “South Pacific”. Continuing her instruction at Miss Bonnie’s Dance Studio she was tested and reviewed by The Cecchetti Council of America, passing in 1985. As Amanda’s love for performing bloomed, she led her class to perform for the Snow Birds in Del Rio, TX. At age nine she relocated to Northern Virginia where she joined the Creative Dance Center
In 1988 she was invited to join their performing company that took many trophies in tap, jazz, and production numbers at such competitions as Tremaine, I Love Dance, and Chris Collins. In 1992 Amanda modeled for Fox Model Makers, in McLean VA and traveled to International Competitions in New York City where she placed in color prints, soap opera and dance. She was also selected multiple times for Who’s Who in American High Schools, Colleges and Universities. Mrs. Jett has performed as well as judged in competitions and productions throughout the United States and was a National Soloist in Daytona Beach, Florida for NCA Collegiate Danz.
She is the current Danse Des Enfants Owner/Director, and has been selected for Who’s Who in American Women 2007. She is currently working on a Master of Science in Psychology-Marriage and Family Therapy at Our Lady of the Lake University - Houston.
