Robert de Berardinis is a 13th generation native Louisianian, and an alumnus of the National Institute of Genealogical Research, specializes in French language and Deep South genealogy and history.

He has ten books in print and has edited all eight books in the Clayton Library Friends Preserving Texas Series.
