I have reserved the Tatami Room at Miyako (Kirby, just N of 59, west side) for 7:00PM Friday, May 6.
The room seats 8 - 10 comfortably, we can squeeze in 12. If, by some chance, you fencesitters realize that you need to embark on this culinary voyage into the vast and murky unknown waters of the food universe and we need more than that, we can add a second room. But I will need to know pretty soon (next week or so would be okay).
So please let me know who and how many. Just to say one more time, you don't have to have sushi, either. They have all sorts of good things like steaks, seafoods, soups, tableside prepared things, too.
It's a nice place. You'll like it.
